A genuine 0 mm drop, a 6 mm sole and 227 grams per shoe. Flexion and torsion both exceed 360°, which means the shoe bends and twists with the foot instead of dictating a path for it. The accredited UMANA laboratory certifies it as Barefoot Footwear with a 93.2% minimalist index and an overall score of 9.3 out of 10. Walking like this, the intrinsic muscles of the foot work at every step and the ankle recovers a range of movement that rigid footwear had taken away.
Materials and construction
The sole is soft rubber, non-slip, with a low-relief pattern that grips wet pavement without adding bulk. Above it sits a 2 mm removable insole in 100% recycled textile, which moulds to the foot and can be taken out to air or replaced with your own orthotic. The lining is microfibre, breathable and free of seams that would rub at the heel. The nubuck upper we have already described is built on the Comfort + last with 360° Strobel stitching: the sole is sewn to the upper around the full perimeter, with no shank and no rigid heel counter, which is where the complete flexibility comes from. A second set of laces is included.
